About me
I have recently completed my MSc in Computer Science at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). I conducted my thesis titled “Exploring Unimodal, Multimodal and Few-Shot Deep Learning Methods for Diagnostic Captioning” under the supervision of Prof. Ion Androutsopoulos and John Pavlopoulos. Since April 2023, I have been serving as a Research Assistant at the Computational Intelligence Laboratory of the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, while I am also affiliated and actively involved within the NLP Group at Athens University of Economics and Business.
Ongoing & Past Research Projects
- SmartSubs, a speech-enabled system for real-time automatic captioning of theatrical plays.
- Diagnostic Captioning, development of deep learning-based systems for the automatic generation of diagnostic captions for medical images.
- e-Prevention Challenge, development of self-supervised methods for the early prediction and identification of mental health relapses via the analysis and processing of the digital phenotype of patients in the psychotic spectrum.
